Lynn Dunn of Marion
passed away March 12, 2008.
Lynn was the owner of Coffey Lane Club Lambs and an ICLA member for
many years.

12th at 6:30 p.m.
at the Story County Fairgrounds in Nevada, Iowa

The Iowa Club Lamb Association has completed a great year
and is now collecting dues for 2008. The Iowa State Fair sale
had an ave. price of $642 for the rams and $362 for the
ewes. The sale highs were $4200 for a ram from the Jerry Dale
Family and $1500 for a ewe lamb from Ted Greiner.
The "newly" elected board members are SE Tim Prunty,
NE Jennifer Zahradnik, Central Scott Schmitz, West Kent
Mower. They will join the current members who are SE Vic
Brenneman, NE Craig Smith, Central Roger Olsen, and West
Amanda Luitjens.
The ICLA will sponsor an open market lamb show as well as
the Show-back Show for the Spring sale at the Dallas County
fairgrounds in Adel in conjunction with the Iowa Sheep Festival
Sunday, June 15th. Be looking for more information in the
future about this great event.
The ICLA is thinking of holding a Bred Ewe sale in the fall
of 2008. If you have comments please pass them on the a board
member or email them to dupat@cloudburst9.net . We would like to
know your opinion.

Traveling Trophy

ICLA will be sponsoring a traveling trophy in memory of Doug
Johnston an ICLA member who was killed in a car accident last
summer. It will be presented to the Supreme Champion Wether Dam.
This was the area that Doug had won and was very interested in
producing good females.
