As we turn the page to a new year, our flock has grown to nearly 50 ewes from a sound foundation consisting primarily of Marx and Knop genetics.  Our philosophy continues to embrace the importance of breeding for consistency, structural correctness, eye appeal, and power to compete at all levels.

We are excited about the potential from two new sires this year and expect more of the same consistent results from our other proven sires.

Thank you for your interest and we invite you to visit us this spring.

After careful consideration, we have decided to offer Eclipse for sale. Eclipse has served us well the past two years having sired some vital keeper ewe lambs and competitive wethers.  He was sired by Step Ahead (Knop 5266) on a Marx 3-36 daughter.  Step Ahead is a son of Jackpot (Knop 4984) who was a son of Marx 9-56.  Step Ahead’s mother is a Captain daughter.

Step Ahead also sired Knop 5678 which has done a tremendous job for us further elevating our program.

Eclipse was born February 2008 and tests QRNN.

Eclipse

Flatline

Caesar x Smoker

Raised by Shrank Club Lambs

Flatline is flat good which is no surprise considering he is a Caesar son. We are excited about the potential that Flatline will have in our breeding program.  He is a hard muscled ram that offers a lot of muscle shape and dimension, without sacrificing structural correctness.  He is co-owned with Amstutz Show Lambs.

High Tide

5678 x Captain

High Tide is our keeper buck and is the maternal brother to the Reserve Crossbred Champion at the 2008 Ohio State Fair.  He is a jack fronted sheep with that great Suffolk profile, excellent rib shape, tremendous length and plenty of muscle to run with the best.  His pedigree includes Captain genetics on top and bottom and phenotypically he has resemblance to Captain.

5678

Bred by Fred Knop

Step Ahead =Jackpot/Captain (Granddad=Marx 9-56) X 967 = Marx 4-06/Captain II

This ram exhibits plenty of extension, is very smooth in his design, has excellent rib shape, wide hip structure and is parallel in his lines. He offers a tremendous combination of look and muscle with a big rack, square loin, and deep twist.

Eclipse

Bred by Fred Knop

Knop 5266 X Hope = Marx 3-36/Forecast /Captain

Eclipse is a thick designed ram, stout with plenty of bone, correct neck set, and is parallel lined. He has a nice shaped loin and is square through the hip.

Goldmine (Knop 5047)

Marx 4-06 x Omega/Alf

Goldmine is long bodied with an explosive rack and lengthy loin that lays into a big, square, level hip. He has a deep twist with expressive leg muscle. He is parallel in his lines, tall fronted and structurally correct.

Marx 532

Marx 532 is tall fronted, shallow chested and ties in nicely at the shoulder with a level top that flows into a wide hip. He is very balanced with a nice combination of style and power while maintaining structural soundness and plenty of bone.

Marx 532
Marx 311 x Marx 43
