2012 Lambs

Our lambs were later arriving than expected but I think we have a great set of lambs.
The lambs sired by Stardust #1 are very heavy boned, wide based and level.
#1 sired the Champion at NAILE 2011 and 2012 OYE this year.

"660" has sired 2 Denver Champions and several state fair winners and the Ch. Dorset ewe and one of ours was
Grand ewe at Oklahoma State Fair 2011. He produces lambs with nice tops and a hard touch. They are medium sized
and very correct and level. We have a great selection of lambs available at the farm and will probably go to Sedalia with dorsets.

"660" is a "Bud" grandson and double bred "Martin 7345 "Freaky" great grandson. We are hopeful that he will blend well with our X-man line of ewes as X-man was a Bud son.

"660" sired the Res. Champion dorset at the 2011 Arizona Nationals, 2011 Champion dorset at Denver Stock Show, Ch. Dorset Illinois State fair open show and 4th NAILE 2010, Champion Dorset at Iowa State Fair 2010.

Thanks to Todd Snell for selling us this great Blizzard son.

This ram is what many would call a "power" sheep. He has a wide, butterfly rack and top with a huge hip and lower leg. He is really smooth at his hip/loin junction, moves out correctly and has great bone. We are looking forward to 2012 lambs by "Pipes".

Thanks to Sherry Nelson for the opportunity to buy her #1 ram.
A son of #1 sired the Champion Dorset ewe at OYE in 2011.
He is a bit of an outcross for us having Doyal breeding on maternal and paternal sides of his pedigree.
He also has older Martin lines in his pedigree.

"Huntrods 5253"

Huntrods "5253" is the ram that Roger's sons say is possibly the the best ram he ever used. He is the sire of "Butch" pictured on Huntrods page. "5253" will be a bit of an outcross for us but does trace back to the "Kudzu" ram which Roger and I both used and also to a full brother to the Daniel's Ike ram which will also show up in our sheep's pedigrees The mother of "5253" was a "Hype" daughter and his sire's mother was a "Kudzu" ewe.

We are excited to see what he will produce for us. He is heavy boned, great hided, long bodied,very level off of his dock and throws a lot of muscle.

"Piper 2083"
Trifecta x a daughter of Huntrods 4747 (sire of Hype)

Introducing our 2010 keeper ram lamb sired by Trifecta. Piper 2083 is extremely long with great extension through his neck and front. He has a nice loin edge and good rib shape and yet remains very shallow in his chest floor. He is thin hided with great bone. We think he will work well on our Time Out and Roger daughters.

Hewlett 976 "Trifecta"

Trifecta is sired by "Grand Cayman" who is a "Grand Duke" son and his mother is a "Grand" daughter who was Supreme Champion Breeding ewe at the Kansas State Fair and won her class as Louisville. Grand Cayman's mother was Sherry Nelson's very best ewe and is sired by Hambone. She produced many winners. "Trifecta" is very linebred and should blend well with our ewes. He is heavy boned, very up fronted with a wide pin set and deep lower leg. We look forward to his first lamb crop. Trifecta is co-owned with Ted McQuinley and the Daniels family.

He is sired by Game Over and his mother is a "Kudzu" granddaughter and was purchased from the Enfield family. He is widest loined, most level hipped dorset
we have seen.
