Sales Statement
Unless otherwise
stated or agreed, all rams are sold 1/2 interest with possession
to the buyer for 2 full years. Seller reserves the right to
bring Ram back to his property after the 2 year term. Seller
and buyer will then alternate possession year to year.
At buyer's
option, he may request that the seller help market the sire
after both parties no longer need the Ram. If seller markets
the ram, proceeds will be split 50/50.
Note: With the
volume of rams that B&B Howard has sold and continues to sell,
realistically we seldom exercise our option to bring rams back.
In most cases the buyer will have full possession of the ram for
life.

Interest is the only way to go, please visit with Darrell.
B&B Howard Genetic Disclosure Guaranteed We will guarantee all B&B Howard sheep to be spider free. All B&B Howard breeding sheep sold will be as declared with respect to Scrapie Susceptibility (codon 171). Any buyer who wishes to have the benefit of this guarantee must have the animal DNA tested, at the buyer’s expense, to confirm whether or not the sheep is as declared by the seller with respect to Scrapie Susceptibility. Such testing must be performed within 60 days of the date of the sale and before the buyer uses the service of ram. If a sheep is determined by the buyer’s DNA testing to be of a lesser genotype than that declared by the consignor at the sale, the seller shall have the option of having the animal retested at seller’s expense. The seller must arrange for such testing within two weeks of receipt of buyer’s test results or a mutually agreeable timetable. In the event there is a conflict between the two tests, a third test will immediately be run with the cost of such third test to be equally shared by the buyer and seller. If the animal is determined to be a lesser genotype than declared by the consignor or if the seller fails to provide for a retest, the sheep shall be returned to the seller with the costs associated with the transportation being equally shared by the buyer and the seller and the seller shall replace sheep to buyer’s satisfaction or refund the full purchase price of the animal. We have found that DNA testing is not a 100% science, we highly recommend you retest your ram upon delivery. |
