Sheep History

I first started raising and showing sheep in 1988. After keeping these ewe lambs and purchasing more ewes and a ram, our flock has currently grown to over sixty ewes. During my show career I was fortunate  to win the Alabama State fair in 1990 and 1995. I also won Alabama Bred Championships 4 out of 5 years. I also sold lambs that won the Alabama State Fair in 1993, 1997, 2001, and 2002.

After ending my show career, my focus turned to raising and selling top club lamb and breeding stock. In 1996 I purchased a great ram and ten ewe lambs from Southern Star Club Lambs in Georgia. In 1999 Black and Decker, our Jigsaw son, was purchased from Southern Star. He has done a great job siring state champions in 2001 and 2002.

In 2001, Si-Clone was purchased from McCune Farms. He had a super crop of lambs his first year. He sired the 2002 Commercial ewe champion in Alabama. Last spring we added 45 ewes to our flock. These are all primarily McCune breeding. All of our ewes are QR and RR clean for scrapie.

We are looking forward to the future and hope to continue producing top club lambs. We enjoy raising sheep very much and hope to continue our successful operation for years to come. We hope to eventually pass the operation on to our children.
