Congratulations to everyone and thank you for everyone who attended. Over 110 Lambs were shown and the competition was excellent. A big thank you for all the exhibitors for being patient and accommodating with the limitations of the Saunders County Fairgrounds due to the recent heavy rains and flooding in the area and of the fairgrounds. We hope to see you all again in 2009.

For the 2008 Lambing Season, Langemeier Club Lambs is proud to have been able to utilize Larry DeSpain’s Championship genetics. We used Larry’s 57 Ram, a proven sire of Champions for the DeSpain flock and his 12 Ram.

57 lambs are known for combining structural correctness and tidiness of front, with tremendous power. The lambs are big footed and stout hipped with tremendous lower leg definition. 57 lambs are long and flat loined with huge tops.

12 lambs are exceptional in their length of body. They combine this length with balance and heaviness of structure while still offering tremendous shape and dimension to their rack and leg.

We also put Turbo in heavy use this year. Turbo was a Toxic sired ram lamb we purchased from Donnie Begalka for the 2007 lamb crop. He saw limited use but was able to sire several champions including the Nebraska State Fair Champion. Turbo has matured into an impressive specimen that is perfect in his structure, wide based, and expressively muscled.

Top Notch as a young ram has a massive square back, huge loin, a perfect shaped hip and an explosive rack. Thanks to Sid Greiner for selling us this ram lamb

Medicine Man goes back to the Garvie flock, his sire is 292 and out of the full sister to Warrior and Geronimo. He produced Remedy and many other great lambs and ewes for Shroyer Show Stock. You will have to travel a long way to find a more impressive mature sire that combines power, frame, and structural correctness. He is pictured as a yearling and lamb. Medicine Man sired Graff’s Reserve Grand Champion 2007 Iowa State Fair Lamb.
