2012 RAM BATTERY

This 2012 Ram lineup is truly one of the most exciting set of rams we have ever put together. We have hunted the country trying to find the most exciting breeding pieces around, we hope that you will stop by this spring and check them out for yourself.

Untouchable
Masterpiece x Buckmaster

When describing Untouchable, where do you being? Is it the fact that he has produced three major champions (Res American Royal, Res Huston Stock Show, and Champion American Royal) in the last two years or is it the look that he has when you see him in person? Untouchable is one of the widest base sheep we have ever seen that still maintains structural correctness. The muscle shape that untouchable has is one will sure draw attention when you hit the ring.

Spot
Swagger x Reilly

Co-Owned with Burch Livestock and MacLennan Club Lambs

Spot is one of those sheep that has been a stand out since the first day we saw him. He is a sheep that you are excited when you see him set up but when you see this sheep in motion you are WOWED! Spots look is one that every breeder in the country is trying to find and make. We would like to thank MacLennan club lambs for the opportunity to own a sheep of this caliber.

Mongo
Swagger x

Co-owned with MacLennan Club Lambs

Mongo is a sheep that is one of a kind in his rib shape and flank placement, but what gave Mongo his name was his butt shape. His butt shape is Mongo big. He has more stifle shape than any baby lamb we have ever seen but with have this amount of muscle he still maintain his structural correctness and balance. Thanks for MacLennan Club Lambs for selling us this truly dynamic sheep.

Delicious
PBR x Tonic

Co-owned with Skidgel Club Lambs

Delicious is a ram that is backed up with genetics. He is sired by PBR, which is the 7/8 brother to Trigger. Then you add in Skidgel's Tonic ewe base on the dam side and you get Delicious a sheep that is so round body and shallow chested that you think he was drawn out with a pencil. This sheep also has a ton of natural muscles shape down his top and still cares into a huge lower stifle. And his base is built with the craziest amount of bone and shag that will surely grab a judges attention when you hit the ring.

Mr. June

Mr. Chubby
Co-owned with Lambright Club Lambs

Sire: Prestige
Damn: Wild Thing

Miller O-550 "Forty Large"
Bred by Miller Hampshires Double Bred Masterpiece
Owned with Guy Glasscock

We think this Double Bred Masterpiece is the right kind anytime. He is massive and poweful in his skeleton and muscling while still having that showy look about him when on the move and set. He's just a flat good one.

Pics are of Crip's brothers
Crip
Bred by Skidgel
Owned with Skidgel

We would like to thank the Skidgels for allowing us the opportunity to own this truly outstanding phenotypic speciman.  He is out of Skidgel's legendary Tonic ewe who dammed Baylor Newcomb's 2007 Oklahome Youth Expo Grand and Cooper Newcomb's 2007 American Royal Reserve Grand.  Crip embodies why Skidgel sheep are so tough to beat in the ring, he is flawless, big racked, impeccable in his loin, with a big square hip and lower leg.  Of course on the profile he is simply captivating.  We expect great things out of this stud.

Mayhem
Bred by Martin sired by Barracuda (Demon x 277)
Now owned by Elliot and Wendt

Mayhem certainly created quite a buzz this past year. We retained breeding rights to this outstanding sire and will have a limited but high-quality offering of Mayhem lambs off the farm this spring. If you want bone, shag, power, pin width, loin edges, and big tops while still offering superior structural integrity, especially on the rear wheels, few Hamp rams can offer -- look no further.

PBR
Guywire x Venum 7/8th brother to Johnson's Trigger
Owned with Guy Glasscock

Glasscock Ram's Work! They consistently sire sheep that are expressively racked, great ribbed, long bodied, and have the touch needed to go to the top of the class everytime. We went back to Guy's again this year, and he gave us the opportunity to own PBR with him. He is royally bred, almost identical to the Trigger buck Brian Johnson has had so much success with this year. We think this sheep is special. He is crazy shallow with enough bone and shag to make a steer boy jealous. He still has the rack shape you come to expect from Glasscock genetics with one of the most powerful loin edges of any sheep we saw at Guy's. Any showstring would be better with a PBR in the pen.

57
Next Step x Tex
Raised by Larry DeSpain owned with Keith Anderson

We bred 57 for late lambs this year. 57 had another productive 2009 season including siring the extremely popular Champion Suffolk at Louiville shown by Jordan Amburgey. 57 continues to stamp his offspring with the showy front end and muscle power needed in the ring. His lambs are like fine wine and only get better with age.

REFERENCE SIRES

Goldmine
Guywire x CEO
Leased from Glasscock

Thanks Guy for leasing us Goldmine for a few cycles! This ram is a proven stud. Glasscock continues to crank out winning wethers out of this ram and we are excited to have a few babies out of him on the way. Goldmine stamps his progeny with muscle and power to burn while still keeping everything smooth and eye appealing.

Turbo
Sired by Toxic
Raised by Begalka

We used Turbo late again this season. This Toxic son never goes out of style because he continues to stamp his babies with the bone width and power needed to consistently stand at the top of the class everytime. He sired the Reserve Grand Nebraska Lamb in 2009 and the Grand Nebraska Lamb in 2007.

12
Bred by Larry DeSpain
Sired By “Lucky” (Next Step x Ott Hero)

Leased for early lambs by Jason Stillwell.  Sold interest to Dick Horner.  Check out both Stillwell and Horner flocks for 12’s 2010 influence.

12 lambs were without a doubt one of our most popular sire groups in the 2008 and 2009 lambing seasons and his progeny went on to much success in the show ring including the 2008 Iowa State Fair Reserve Champion Market Lamb shown by Ashley Graff. 12 stamps his offspring with tremendous rack shape and definition, length of side and long, and powerful hip and leg. They also offer the balance, rib shape, and handle needed to win big shows. We are excited to see what his daughters will do for us in the flock and expect his influence to be seen in years to come.

Medicine Man

Medicine Man goes back to the Garvie flock, his sire is 292 and out of the full sister to Warrior and Geronimo. He produced Remedy and many other great lambs and ewes for Shroyer Show Stock. You will have to travel a long way to find a more impressive mature sire that combines power, frame, and structural correctness. He is pictured as a yearling and lamb. Medicine Man was a timeless genetic piece. In 2007, Medicine Man sired Graff’s Reserve Grand Champion Iowa State Fair Lamb. In 2008, Medicine Man sired Erica Walker’s Grand Champion Lamb at the State Fair of Texas. This lamb also won 10 other shows in Texas including the West Texas Fair. His daughters are some of the most valuable females in the flock. We expect to see his influence live on in his daughters for years to come.

Juicy
Guywire X CEO full brother to Goldmine
Sold to Dan Willoughby and Tom Jones
Owned Jointly with Glasscock Club Lambs

We would like to thank Guy Glasscock for allowing us to acquire Juicy for 2009lambs. Juicy’s full brother is Goldmine who, as a buck lamb, did a tremendous job for Guy, Wilson Club Lambs, and David Garrett (Shrank Club Lambs). Goldmine’s lambs were some of the most popular and highest selling lambs at Garrett’s Sale and at Glasscock’s Young Guns Sale last spring. We couldn’t be morepleased to add this Guywire son to our flock. Juicy is a long sided specimen offering perfection in his rib cage and width in his skeleton with a tremendous amount pure power and muscularity. We sold Juicy after retaining several daughters. He sired numerous champions and outstanding replacement females for us.
