1st Annual Future Mamma Sale
June 9-10
| Lot 1- # 310-1 Fix It x Ambush DOB: Feb 1st Scrapie : At least QR This is one right off the top of our keeper ewe lamb pen. We decided to start the sale with some individuals who we feel are in a league of their own. This one has a lot of history from a genetic standpoint and visually speaking, she is a stud ewe in every sense of the phrase. Immense amount of body, rib and dimension of muscle yet still so refined and feminine. She is cocky in the pen and good structured. Her mother is the twin sister to Kopy Kats Mother. This ewe family is consistent and deep and we have kept every one so far. We only let go of a small handful of the Fix It ewe lambs and this lot 1 and 2 pair are without question the best two we are going to offer for sale this year. |
| Lot 2- # 310-2 Fix It x Ambush DOB: Feb 1st Scrapie : At least QR This is the twin sister to our lot 1 ewe. She is equally as good with perhaps even a more striking look to her. This one was the skinny twin of the two but she is as good built as they come. Her rump shape and chest floor are awesome and her rack is as big as you can put in one. She stands out no matter which group of sheep she is in and she is another one that rarely leaves the place. I can not tell you which of the twins will out produce the other. That is one of the greatest challenges breeders have to try to overcome. No need in worrying about it. Buy them both and let them tell you. |
| Lot 3- # 724 Money x Innovation x Gunslinger DOB: Feb 25 Scrapie: At least QR This is personally my favorite one. She is one that is very hard for me to let go of and it primarily boils down to the way she is bred. Her mother is a double bred Gunslinger who is backed by a ewe family that has been un stoppable for us. The old Ambush ewe that is the maternal grand mother to this female has produced as much money for us as any have in the last 6 years. Combine that with a female in #724 who is also one of the neatest made hardest handling and biggest topped ones we have in the offering, I feel it makes her deserving of an individual slot in the sale. |
| Lot 4- # 316 Fix It x Ambush DOB: Feb 3 Scrapie: At Least QR Another future mamma here at its best. We have 4 maternal sisters to this opened up, moderate, big ribbed daughter of Fix It. This ones mother produced the lamb who was the champion at the Top of Texas show for us, sired by Kool Kat. Her mother never misses and all 4 of the daughters we have retained always out breed their mother. Genetic progression is the goal and this is a ewe family has proven to be successful at it. This is an opportunity to get another one right off the top end of the keeper ewe lambs. |
| Lot 5- # 4016 Money x Ambush DOB: Feb 23 Scrapie: At least QR This one is the one who I feel has show ewe written all over her. She is as cocky and attractive as you can make one when she is walking around the pen and then when you get a hold of her, she is monster topped, perfectly square from her last rib back to her rump and has the touch and handling quality that Money is so good at contributing. She is young and youthful so she could be taken home today and hauled to a show tomorrow. I anticipate that she could show with the best of them at what is left for the summer and only get harder to beat through the fall. It is also no mistake that all of the top 5 are out of Ambush Daughters or an Ambush grand daughter. This only solidifies her position as a useful production female after a potential show career. |
| Lot 6A # 832 Money x Intrigue x Moneys Mother DOB: March 3 Scrapie: At least QR This is one who is deserving of her own spot in a sale like this. She is just a flat good female. Muscle, balance and quality with moderation and natural fleshing ability. She is one of the most uniquely bred ewe lambs we raised this year being the result of Money bred to Moneys maternal sister. Tightly line bred and extra good, she is worth buying any group to get a hold of. |
| Lot 7A # 816 Backdrop x Money DOB: Feb 28 Scrapie: At Least QR This is another one that we contemplated selling as an individual because she alone is worth the value of any large group of ewe lambs. There are a lot of bright spots in her genetic background and she comes from a ewe family that runs deep in our flock. To begin, her mother is a maternal sister to our Lot 1 and Lot 2 ewes in this sale. Her mother is also the twin sister to the Money wether on our winners page that made the sale at the State Fair of Texas shown by the McDonald family. As mentioned earlier, her maternal grandmother is the twin sister to Kopy Kats mother and there are countless accolades that those two females have contributed to our success. This is a very slim opportunity to get to buy one that I think is one of my best genetically and still as practical and good in her kind. |
| Lot 8C # 686 Cripple x Gunslinger DOB: Feb 10 Scrapie: At least QR This one is my personal favorite of the Cripple ewe lambs. She is so maternal in her kind but has that little extra fancy to her. She is awesome in her rack shape and loin edge and looks like a stud ewe walking around the pen. She is dammed by an extremely good Gunslinger daughter with a big future ahead of her. |
| Lot 9A # 462 Radio x Time DOB: March 1 Scrapie: At least QR Radio certainly made a mark on our flock and has been one of the most pre potent bucks that we have ever used. He sires just like Cripple in the fact that his females are moderate, easy keeping kind with lots of rib shape and loaded with muscle. This particular girl is out of "Show Times" twin sister. Show time is the Time son who is making finewool crosses in Texas that are hard to get around. Posting Champions at both Houston and Austin most recently. This is another one of those that was selected for this sale to ensure we had a very good set. She comes right out of the keeper pen. |
| Lot 9B # 817 Radio x Money DOB: March 3 Scrapie: At least QR This gal has a petty rich history as well. Her mother is a daughter of our "T16" ewe who is an ambush daughter. T16 raised a $2600 dollar wether at the Corp her first year and a wether for $2750 at the Legends sale her second year. That sheep went on to win his class in San Antonio and was sired by Show Time. We have several daughters of this ewe family and this Radio sired grand daughter is likely to be the best producing one of them all. |
| Lot 6B # 4091 Money x Ambush DOB: Feb 27 Scrapie: At least QR This is one that is dammed by the very most attractive ewe that we own. This gals mother not only looks good but she also produced us our high selling wether at the CORP sale 2 years ago at $2150, and 3 other wethers who have averaged about $1000. Take a look at the balance and quality that her mother is clearly capable of passing on. |
| Lot 6C # 4040 Money x Ambush DOB: Feb 18 Scrapie: At least QR #4040 is one of those ewes that strikes me as the one who will surprise you when she has her first one. As a lamb she always stood out as a really thick one with an abundance of top and was not quite as feminine as the rest but when we got a hold of her to take pictures I was shocked at how well she has come together and still maintained her mass and muscle. Still wont be as extra fancy as some but she is the kind that lays down and can raise a stud buck. |
| Lot 6D # 4070 Money x Ambush DOB: Feb 21 Scrapie: At least QR This is a typical type of female that we tend to keep. She is good in her lines, very big in her top and moderate in her kind. Nothing extreme about her but one that you can expect to raise lambs for you for several years to come and always be low maintenance. Have we noticed a trend genetically? Money and the Ambush daughters mated together work and a large number of our keeper ewe lambs out of Money from the last 3 years are bred just like these girls. |
| Lot 6E # 300 Money x Ambush DOB: March 10 Scrapie: At least QR There is no particular reason she sits last in this group of Money daughters. That is just how they ran through the chute. In all reality, she could lead the sale from a genetic standpoint. We have a full sister to her from last year who was the best one we raised last season. We tried it again and got another ewe lamb so we decided to offer her in the sale. She is the youngest and the greenest of the bunch but give her time to catch up and she may be your favorite in the end. |
| Lot 7B # 314a Backdrop x Ambush DOB: Feb 10 Scrapie: At least QR In this group of Backdrop ewe lambs we brought a set of females with a lot of history. In her first lamb crop this ewes mother produced "Party Girl" who was a ewe lamb very successfully shown by the Bergmann family in Texas. Party Girls' twin brother was the Grand Champion lamb at the noted Harris County show in Houston, Texas. We have kept every maternal sister to Party Girl and each have solidified their spot as ewes that will stay here as long as they can continue producing. This gal that we are selling is also the maternal sister to the Reserve Champion Crossbred at the Ohio State Fair Open Show, campaigned by the Banbury family. This ewe is Attractive, hard bodied, with a big loin and rack shape. Also worth the price of the whole set of them. |
| Lot 7C # 314b Backdrop x Ambush DOB : Feb 10 Scrapie : At least QR This is the twin sister to 7B. I couldn't tell you which one will be the best one in the end. I am confident in both their abilities to make a ewe base better. Therefore we put them in the same pen together and would like your feedback. This one might be a little bigger ribbed with more total volume everywhere. She is also extra big loined and all of the Backdrops have a great touch and awesome hide. Let us know how these two produce. I am excited for someone to get a piece of this genetic base. |
| Lot 7D # 604 Backdrop x Guslinger DOB: Feb 17 Scrapie: At Least QR Probably the most maternally built one of this group of Backdrop daughters. She is moderate and square, Just like we most prefer our females to look. She is out of a very good ewe who is a solid wether maker and awesome female producer. The maternal grandmother has a $5000 dollar buck under her belt and several $1,000-$2000 wethers. This is one that I have always drug my feet on selling thru this sale because I know the genetic potential behind her. |
| Lot 7E # 105 Backdrop x Jag DOB: Feb 10 Scrapie: At Least QR I honestly can't believe that we are selling this one. We have never sold a daughter of the old 105 ewe. The 105 ewe is that one ewe that every producer has who is the best producing one you have and without question the worst looking. This ol' ewe is the last remaining Jag daughter that we have and has generated nearly $38,000 for us over her 10 years. To her name she has produced, King Kat, the $7000 second place February Hamp ram in Sedalia purchased by Summers Show Lambs. His twin brother who was a $3000 private sale to Kendrick Club Lambs. She also is the mother of "Padlock" which was a buck used very successfully for Cool Runnings and Star Dust. She produced the champion heavy weight at the Colorado State Fair in 2006 and many many others. This one is a genetic giant at our house especially for anyone who knows the old 105 ewe line. This will be the last opportunity to get one out of her as she is likely going to retire after this lamb crop. |
| Lot 8A # 642 Cripple x New Look DOB: Feb 1 Scrapie: At Least QR Cripple really produced beyond our expectations this year. Everyone who came to the house or visited at the sales can attest to the job that he did. Cripple is a Radio x Exclusive that we were planning to retain as our keeper buck last year but at 8 weeks old he tore his stifle, hence the name. We got him fixed well enough to breed about 30 head and he really hit a home run! Our keeper buck this year is sired by him. Our high seller at the Corp was sired by him, some the very best wethers we have out this year are Cripple sired. He is going to make a big impact on our operation and with his son "Future" as the best one we have ever raised, it will solidify Cripples place as a true stud buck. Don't miss a big opportunity on a set of Cripple females that will most certainly be a hot commodity in the very near future. This one as an individual is moderate, great bodied, with a load of muscle down her top. |
| Lot 8B # 665 Cripple x Time x Ambush DOB: Feb 3 Scrapie: At least QR Another very typical Cripple Daughter. She is good in her kind and she is built like females should be. The cripples are not likely to be extra big but they are the kind you go out and buy those bucks for who have the industry extremes of extension, big pin sets and all the bone and leg hair you can find an you let these females put muscle, and do ability into their offspring. |
| Lot 8D # 682 Cripple x Time DOB: Feb 5 Scrapie: At least QR Without question the very best bodied ewe in the whole sale. She is freaky shallow in her chest floor and really round in her rib shape. She has a perfect top and an awesome look. You can't see it in the picture but she has just a touch of extra tail that might throw some off but really study this one when you get her and she rises to the top rather quickly. |
| Lot 8E # 667 Cripple x Kool Kat DOB: Feb 1 Scrapie: At least QR Not to be redundant but another female that is driven for the lambing barn. Her moderation, depth of flank and low maintenance look allow me to expect that she will always be an easy keeping one that looks good and is fun to look at. Her mother is also the twin sister to the Grand Champion at the Top of Texas which makes this one a maternal sister to Lot 4's mother. |
| Speckle faced ewe Lambs | |
| Lot 9C # 662 Money x Bam DOB: Feb 26 Scrapie: At Least QR I decided to put a Money daughter in with these two Radios that lead this group. I feel this one will produce very much like the radios do. From a genetic standpoint, this one is out of a very good Bam daughter who goes back to Stitzlein. She is much like those Radios in kind with her body and moderation. Really a ewe that I like a lot for a production female. |
| Backdrop Ewe lambs | |
| Lot 10A # 855 Backdrop x Time DOB: Feb 10 Scrapie : At least QR #855 has been a good one from the beginning. She is monster topped with lots of look and genetics to burn. Her mother is a grand daughter of our old "290" ewe who has produced over $25,000 dollars for us and several buck lambs sold to her name including "Money Shot" owned by Warntjes Club Lambs. This one goes back to a Caesar son that we used and bred to that old 290 ewe to get the grand mother of this ewe we are offering for sale. She is a good one. |
| Lot 10B # 824 Backdrop x Cabaniss DOB: Feb 25 Scrapie: At least QR This is the maternal sister to our second high seller at the Young Guns sale. That sheep went on to win the 2010 Walter Gerloch show in Texas that is a big money earner. This ewe lamb is out of a ewe that I went and bought from Cabaniss 2 years ago. Come to find out, she is an 1/8 dorset. But as good as the first two lambs have been out of her it has not phased my thoughts of the ewe. This gal is huge topped with a great loin and an awesome look. I look forward to hearing how she does because I feel she has a ton of potential as a production female. |
| Lot 10C # 911 Backdrop x Incognito DOB: April 1 Scrapie: At least QR I was nervous at putting a ewe lamb who comes with a distinct age and performance disadvantage in this group of ewes. But when you really study her kind and then appreciate how she is bred there should be no reason that she cant go on to be perhaps the best one of the group. She is so good in her body shape, has an abundance of top shape for such a green one and skeletally speaking everything is where it should be. In another 30 days this ewe just might be capable of leading this sale off as lot 1. Incognito needs no introduction as he has been the epitome of quality and dominance at Allred/ Elliott for the last 5 years. |
| Lot 11A # 921 Pins x Money DOB: March 25 Scrapie: At least QR This young lady is one of my favorites in this young set of March and Aprils. Unfortunately a sore shearing wound to the ear kept her from cooperating during picture time but study her standing loose, he is a good one! Femininity with a big hip and base width is how I read her and still with more than enough muscle. "Pins" was a Radio keeper buck from last year that is bred nearly identical to "cripple" We named him Pins because his Pin set was a large as we had ever seen in one. He got used late for March and Aprils so his lambs are just now being discovered by our visitors and they have been well received. I can't guarantee that this young set of ewe lambs will breed this year but they will be an attraction to any who come visit and will be fun to watch grow out into yearlings. |
| Lot 11B # 912 Pins x Gunslinger DOB: April 3 Scrapie: At least QR Another "Pins" daughter that is really big hipped with lots of top shape and quality. She is good structured and one that always stands out among her contemporaries. I anticipate this one to be a maternal factory and a ewe that can generate a stud buck for someone. With Gunslinger on the bottom side and Radio on the top, that makes this little girl a Triple bred Gunslinger. That spells nothing but consistency at our barn. |
| Lot 11C # 825 Shooter x Ca Ching DOB: March 20 Scrapie: At Least QR This Shooter daughter is one that looks to have a promising future. I feel that she fits well with this primarily Gunslinger based set of late ewe lambs. She has a cool rump shape, is very tall fronted and shows like a dream. One with lots of muscle down her top she should prove to be a valuable wether generator. She is also dammed by my favorite Ca Ching daughter that we own. |
| Lot 11D # 940 Reilly Son x Money DOB: April 1 We kept what we thought was the very best Reilly son last year and planned to use him heavily. Unfortunately he got in a fight and ruptured into his scrotum so we only got a couple bred. This little ewe lamb is one of the very few. She looks just like he did as a lamb with a lot of elevation and look from the side with a square top and good structure. This girls sire is out of a Gunslinger daughter who is also the twin sister to Innovation. Ton of potential on this one! |
| Speckle faced ewe Lambs | |
| Lot 12A # 835 Money x Dorset DOB: Feb 15 Scrapie: At Least QR We have had great success so far with our speckles. I think this one is a good a speckle ewe lamb that there is. She is huge in her top and as hard bodied as you can make one. I bred all of my speck ewe lambs from last year and had great success. I think this little group will be very valuable to someone. |
| Lot12B #839 Fix It x Dorset DOB: Feb 20 Scrapie: At least QR Very much like the first one from a muscle and stoutness standpoint. Maybe even bigger boned with more shag. Still a great top and touch in her. |
| Lot 12C # 428 321 x Speck DOB: March 10 Scrapie: Un Tested This is the result of breeding one of my speckle faced ewes from last year. She has light speckles on her legs and some on her ears . But the thing about her that I really love is that she is just a good one! Her sire is an Incognito son that we kept from last year who has a huge future with us. This is a very good female. Don't miss out on her! |
| Lot 13 # 474 Backdrop x Time DOB: Feb 10 Scrapie: At Least QR A blue one here that reads as a who's who among our genetic base. Her mother is the twin sister to Innovations mother. Her mother also raised our $5750 buck we sold at the Corp in 2005. In addition to that there is a Son working for Hickory Hill Farms also dammed by the same female. The maternal sisters to this ewe have averaged well over $2000 on all of their lambs. Don't miss out on a special one genetically just because she is blue. This is the only one of an entire ewe families history that has ever come out blue. Breed her to a stout boned hamp buck and you will likely not get a blue one. |
