Thanks to Brandon Andresen and his family for the purchase of my mature ewes.  This is a tremendous set of ewes that was years in the making for us and that I was very proud of.  They went to a good family that will care for them and carry on the tradition of thin skin, big tops, big butts, and hard muscle that is real.  Otherwise, I would not have sold them.  Brandon is an exception to the rule this day and time.  He is a very hard working, very polite young man with a vision that I have no doubt he will accomplish.  Brandon also purchased "Cross Fire", which I miss very much.  I said when I first purchased Cross Fire that he was the best buck that I had ever bred to and I still say that today.  If I don't miss my guess, I think we will all be asking Brandon if we can get in the buck pen!  Thanks again to Brandon and his family and I really look forward to watching this young man rise to the top!

Testimonial From some of our happy customers!

We have been purchasing small groups of aged ewes from Tony for a number of years to tie back into the old Joe Harrel lines that the Winfrey flock is rich in.  We have utilized the Suffolk cross base to add extra muscle dimension into the wether side of our operation.  The Champion lamb at Ft Worth in 2007 was dammed by a Winfrey ewe and the popular "Cartel" ram that we are using heavily for late lambs is also dammed by a powerful Hamp cross Winfrey ewe.
These ewes have worked well back on our buck arsenal and would encourage everyone to study the pedigrees and utilize these genetics.  They have worked for us!

In 2005 we purchased “Chaos” from Tony Winfrey at the Premier 10 sale in Indiana. I felt that Chaos was the sheep to have that year and was truly disappointed when a freak lightning strike eliminated him ¾ of the way through breeding season. His offspring were just as I expected and we knew that this was a genetic line that we must try again. We then purchased “Rising Star” in the spring of 2006 and haven’t looked back again. After only two lambing seasons this ram has tallied a total of 7 Grand or Reserve State Fair victories, multiple Breed and Division Champions, and numerous Jackpot and County Fair wins. Rising Star makes them good whether they are male or female and is the most consistent buck we have ever used. Between the two farms this buck has been used on a lot of different ewe lines and has clicked with all of them. This Perazzi son has been a great addition to our program and I would recommend Tony’s genetics to anyone!!

I have done business with Tony Winfrey for over three years.  During that time, our association as businessmen in this industry has grown into a friendship of mutual respect and admiration.

Tony represents his sheep with the same integrity and wholesome qualities you would expect from someone of his nature.  He tells it like it is.

The breeding rams and sheep I have purchased from him have produced offspring winners of several county fairs, the Missouri State Fair 4H Champion Yearling Weather Dam, and the Champion Carcass Lamb at the 2008 Ak-Sar-Ben Livestock Exposition.
I am fully satisfied with my business transactions with Tony and feel you will be too.

To all that are interested in Winfrey ewes or sheep in general; I can say that for several years we have bought ewes and wethers from Winfery and have never been disappointed. We were able to raise the
Third overall lamb at the 2007 San Antonio Livestock Expo. The lamb stood second to the Reserve Grand Champion. Many people still talk about that lamb today and say he should have been Reserve Champion. The lamb was out of a Winfery ewe and breed to Perazzi. We have had many Grand and Reserve Champions. Winfery bloodlines work well for our program. Anyone looking to get started or to add a new edition to their flock will not go wrong with Winfery sheep.

These are just three of our lambs shown by Emily this summer on her way to winning the Senior TCLA Medium Wool Buckle with 5020 points. These lambs, along with others, helped her accumulate an all-time record setting 9400+ points to also win the Senior TCLA All-Around Championship. We have more than one lamb and more than one showman that can win. We are proud that two of the three TCLA Medium Wool Buckles were won with sheep from our flock.
