Rock-N-Oak Acres was a name born of 10
beautiful acres that Patricia was raised on in the foothills of
Nipomo, CA. When the club lamb project started in 1996 it
seemed fitting that the operation would be named after the
ranch. 2006 has marked not only 10 years of raising club lambs
with an emphasis in maternal females that produce high quality
lambs, it has also marked an end of the Rock-N-Oak Acres
moniker.
On June 25, 2006 Patricia married
long time love Scott Wonnell and they set up the club lamb
operation across the freeway on 5 acres. The sand and towering
eucalyptus trees can no longer hold the name of Rock-N-Oak
Acres. Wonnell Club Lambs is a new streamlined version of its
predecessor.
We have sold off all of the
mature ewes that laid down our current set of 3 year old and
younger females and produced many champions while in production
here. This set of young females are predominately Big
Time(Leventini/Cabaniss) bloodlines with a main emphasis in
Pistol daughters. These structurally correct, very feminine
ewes can be bred to a variety of different rams and still have
consistently good lamb crops. We look forward to the future of
this project and the quality we have yet to produce! Thank you
to those who have supported us in the past and we look forward
to dealing with you in the future!
